This past week was football camp! Even though it was the hottest week of the year so far, we still came out to the park every morning for our football workout! We played football in the morning and then headed back to the Mackin in the afternoon for lunch, arts and crafts and a movie. Special thanks to the Nick Rodman Foundation for coordinating and running the camp and to the LMPD officers that came out to coach! It was an awesome week!

A New Pre-school campus...

As a part of Mighty Oak Academy we will be bringing back our pre-school formerly known as Laugh Learn Love to a brand new campus. The pre-school will be located in the former Grace Lutheran Church building on 26th and Bank. The old sunday school building directly behind the sanctuary will be transformed into a preschool for up to 120 children ages 1 - 5 years old.

Now that we've covered the mission and the mission in action with our spokes on the wheel we'll cover the campuses of Love City. If you've been down to Love City recently you'll have noticed some big changes to the Mackin building. The sign out front now reads Mighty Oak Academy and the building has been painted a bright white.

The action that spurs the mission at Love City is loving people as they are. This action feeds the goal of Love City which is to equip the saints to do the work. We want to empower our neighbors to build their own community. This where what we call our spokes on the wheel come in. Each "spoke" is a program that helps our neighborhood grow the communtiy.
